Hobart 2009 will be special: a chance to enjoy the 10th Convention during springtime in Tasmania while experiencing the state’s unique blend of hospitality, heritage, fine wine and food.
Convention HQ will be Hotel Grand Chancellor on Hobart’s historic waterfront. The quartet and chorus competitions will be held here in the sophisticated Federation Concert Hall. This is also the venue for Harmony Spectacular on the Saturday evening.

Heritage locations will be a feature of the program. The Theatre Royal is the site for the opening ceremony and massed sing. This is Australia’s oldest working theatre and one of our most beautiful treasures, dubbed by Noel Coward as “a dream of a theatre”.
Other heritage locations include Scots Church, Salamanca Place and Cascade Brewery.
