Deep South
We are the flag ship chorus of the Club.
In 2007 we headed north to Sydney for the AAMBS 9th Barbershop Convention. We worked hard to polish and perfect our convention set of two songs and it worked. The audience (and the judges) were wowed by the results of all of our hard work. We came sixth overall and were awarded the Most Improved Chorus in the handicap competition.
2009
The 10th Barbershop Convention was held in Hobart. We came fourth by less than half a percent
2011
We journeyed north to the 11th Barbershop Convention in Brisbane at the end of September, 2011.

The journey continues. There’s no time like right now to get involved.
All members of HMBHC are eligible to be part of this chorus regardless of what other quartets or choruses they might be a part of. It is also possible to be a member of Deep South and not join any other group within the club.

Have look and listen to Deep South singing at the Heritage Harmony Convention held in the Federation Concert Hall in Hobart, Tasmania at the end of September, 2009.
Rehearsals are held at our current home:
Hobart City Church of Christ, 8 Goulburn Street, Hobart, Tasmania.

Park in the church car park at the back of the building, entering off Goulburn Street and come in through the door behind the parking sign and machine.
We will be downstairs, harmonising, from 7:15 pm..
Don’t forget to ask for a parking pass for the evening.
